Job Summary:
The Bodyshop Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers requiring body repairs and paintwork. They are responsible for understanding damage reports, preparing repair estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, and ensuring that vehicles are repaired to high standards while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
•Greet customers and assess their vehicle body repair needs.
•Inspect vehicle damage and prepare accurate cost and time estimates.
•Liaise with insurance companies and handle claims paperwork.
•Schedule body repair work and keep customers informed of progress.
•Coordinate with technicians, painters, and workshop teams to ensure timely repairs.
•Perform post-repair quality checks and ensure customer satisfaction.
•Maintain accurate documentation of jobs, parts used, and billing information.
•Upsell relevant services like detailing, paint protection, etc.
•Resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
•Ensure compliance with workshop standards, safety protocols, and insurance requirements.
Requirements:
•Prior experience as a Bodyshop Advisor, Estimator, or similar role in an automotive setting.
•Knowledge of vehicle body repair processes, insurance procedures, and estimating software (e.g., Audatex, AutoFocus).
•Strong communication and negotiation skills.
•Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
•Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, DMS systems).
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical/automotive certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
•Customer-centric approach with strong problem-solving skills.
•Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
•Familiarity with OEM repair standards.
•Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
